Usha K. Sivagurunathan has over twenty five years of experience in accounting, finance, corporate governance and various aspects of law. Having started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst and Young, she held senior leadership positions at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Finance of Sri Lanka.
She functioned as a retainer for two of the leading law firms in Sri Lanka, John Wilson Partners and Tiruchelvam Associates. She had also been the Public Finance Management and Policy Reforms Expert for a project funded by the USAID, implemented by the Development Alternatives International, USA.
She functioned as the Commercial Manager for the local unit of the U.K based Global Giant, Balfour Beatty Engineering Services, for a period of seven years before relocating to the U.K for her Master’s in Law. She also functioned as the Chief Legal Officer/Group Head of Legal for a conglomerate in Sri Lanka, an acquisition venture by an investor in the U.K.
She is a researcher and an academic, and serves as a visiting lecturer in International Corporate Law and Governance and a dissertation supervisor for the students of the LLM program awarded by the Canterbury Christ Church University U.K and offered by the IDM Campus International. She has also been the author for Tiruchelvam Associate’s (A leading law firm in Sri Lanka) bi-annual updates on Sri Lankan tax law and administration published in the Asian Tax Advisory by Walter Kluwers, the publication arm of Reuters.

Rahini Mahenthirarajah is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA) and member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. She holds a bachelor’s degree, a BSc in Estate Management and Valuation (Special) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She started her career as an Audit Trainee at Haqque, Martin & Co, Chartered Accountants. During her four year stay at Haqque, Martin and Co, she gained experience in planning, conducting and finalization of audits of financial statements of several organizations from diverse industries, including manufacturing, finance, trading, hotels, construction and non- governmental organizations. She was also involved in supervising managing teams, resolving tax issues, liaising and coordinating with clients.
In 2015, Rahini joined BBK Partnership (Private) Limited’s Vavuniya Branch (then, Ripley and Marshal (Private) Limited) as Accounts and Audit Manager where she was responsible for all the accounts, tax, administration and staff management. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2016. She is promoted a partner of BBK Partnership, Chartered Accountants in 2018. Rahini possesses expertise in financial management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation and analysis. She is a friendly, approachable and self-motivated individual who can work well both within a team and individually.
